GPJake Posted April 4, 2022 Posted April 4, 2022 The below is my summary/extract of a few article's I've read... What is it? The app connects your phone to any Bluetooth intercom (Sena, Cardo, etc) and uses VOIP to facilitate pairing & talking via your phone's data signal. You must have a data signal to use & stay connected. Where is it? How's it different? You share a simple 6-digit code. Anyone, anywhere puts that code in the app & joins the group. No more screwing with buttons & dials & different unit brands. No more drop-outs due to range. Stays connected regardless of the order everyone rides. How much is it? The app is free. There are plans for two modes: one that’s light on data, another that conserves battery power. Data use is expected to be similar to WhatsApp voice calls: Tests by MSN Tech Blog: 400K - 1MB for a two-minute call (WhatsApp). A five minute call used 2.1MB (WhatsApp). With this as a basis, a two-hour ride would appear to consume approximately 50MB. Quote
GPJake Posted April 4, 2022 Author Posted April 4, 2022 I haven't used it yet... Anyone? The light data cost + ease of pairing is enough to sell me on trying it. Quote

This would have come in handy for our first meet up of the season. We should try it out next time. 1 Quote

Seriously. This would also make cross-brand pairing (Sena to Cardo for example) effortless. The Google Play Store reviews point to some early quirks, but, as a new effort I think it seems worthwhile. Quote
