The below is my summary/extract of a few article's I've read...
What is it?
The app connects your phone to any Bluetooth intercom (Sena, Cardo, etc) and uses VOIP to facilitate pairing & talking via your phone's data signal.
You must have a data signal to use & stay connected.
Where is it?
How's it different?
You share a simple 6-digit code. Anyone, anywhere puts that code in the app & joins the group.
No more screwing with buttons & dials & different unit brands.
No more drop-outs due to range. Stays connected regardless of the order everyone rides.
How much is it?
The app is free.
There are plans for two modes: one thatβs light on data, another that conserves battery power.
Data use is expected to be similar to WhatsApp voice calls:
Tests by MSN Tech Blog: 400K - 1MB for a two-minute call (WhatsApp).
A five minute call used 2.1MB (WhatsApp).
With this as a basis, a two-hour ride would appear to consume approximately 50MB.
