Re-schedule of March season opener - let's try to kick off the season again! We've had a few warmer days in March, but our Community Garage days ended up being accompanied by snow/rain and temps below freezing. WHAT: A day to perform various light maintenance on motorcycles, then a group ride afterwards. Examples of "light maintenance": changing oil, changing brake pads, chain / sprocket replacements, motorcycle wash & dry, chain clean & lube, adjust suspension, install a horn etc. You will ride to the garage, and ride out with the group as we finish. WHY: To be a resource for tri-state riders who: Don't have tools and/or a place to work on their motorcycle. Do have tools and/or a place to work, but enjoy wrenching with others. Just want to hang out, watch & learn from each other. WHERE: I'm willing to host at my house. I have most tools, a motorcycle lift, universal stands, chain tool/belt gauge, etc. WHEN: To be decided by this poll. Barring the unknown, it'll be the date with the most votes. Time of day TBD closer to the date as discussed in this topic. Anything I haven't addressed? Let me know... Important: We're hobbyists who love motorcycles & enjoy wrenching on our own. Attendees are self-taught people who learn from the web, forums, YouTube, etc. There will be no mechanics, certified professionals or similar attending. The person who rides the bike to the event - and only that person - is wholly responsible for that bike and anything done in the garage. This includes any and all damage, accidental or otherwise. You must ride out with the group as the day finishes. This is not for long-term projects or storage.

The July community garage was great! We did maintenance & washed a few bikes, then went on a ride, grabbed dinner, and rode some more before calling it a night. Are you one of the many who say fall is the best time to ride? Lets get ready for it with a September garage day then kick fall off with a ride! WHAT: A day to perform general light maintenance on bikes with a group ride afterwards. Things like changing oil, brake pads, chain/sprockets, wash & dry, etc. The assumption is you will ride here, and ride out after we finish. A resource for those without tools or a place to work, and an opportunity to wrench and learn together with a ride afterwards for those who can. WHERE: I'm willing to host. I have most tools needed, a motorcycle lift, universal stands, chain tool/belt gauge, etc. WHEN: To be decided by the poll. Anything else I haven't addressed? Let me know... To be clear: We're hobbyists who love motorcycles & are willing to do light work on our own. We're happy to wrench together & help where we can, but you alone are responsible for your bike and any work done. None of us are mechanics or have any certifications. Like you, we get knowledge from forums, YouTube and garage days!

Our June date was cancelled for rain, even though it only rained in some places it was expected but not others. Typical weather unpredictability. Lets get to it! WHAT: A day to perform general light maintenance on bikes with a group ride afterwards. Things like changing oil, brake pads, chain/sprockets, wash & dry, etc. The assumption is you will ride here, and ride out after we finish. A resource for those without tools or a work area, or an opportunity to wrench and learn together with a ride afterwards for those who can. WHERE: I'm willing to host. I have most tools needed, a motorcycle lift, universal stands, chain tool/belt gauge, etc. WHEN: To be decided (vote in the poll) Anything else I haven't addressed? Let me know...

Round 2! A continuation of our "community garage". WHAT: A day to perform general light maintenance on bikes. Things like changing oil, brake pads, chain/sprockets, wash & dry, etc. The assumption is you will ride out at the end of the day. A resource for those without tools or a work area, or just an opportunity to wrench and/or learn together. WHERE: I'm willing to host. I have most tools needed, a motorcycle lift, universal stands, chain tool, etc. WHEN: To be decided (vote in the poll) Anything else I haven't addressed? Let me know...

WHAT: A "community garage" day to perform general light maintenance on bikes. Think: oil change, brake pads, chain/sprockets, wash & dry, etc. Wrench together, learn together. Also a good resource for those without tools or a work area. WHERE: I'm willing to host. I have just about any tool needed, motorcycle lift, universal stands, chain tool, etc. WHEN: To be decided (vote in the poll) WHAT ELSE: Considerations I haven't addressed? Post'em up.
